There's a wealth of information out there on the internet. Some of the tutorials and articles are excellent, and posted by people with a great deal of knowledge. Others are less helpful, particularly if you're just starting out.

I learned to spin in isolation, using information from books, and from the internet. I picked up a vast amount of my knowledge from various Ravelry groups, and am now lucky enough to belong to a very knowledgeable Guild of Weaver, Spinners and Dyers.
